IMG_1694In Cicero, NY the Knights came off a long week of exams heading into a 4 game series against league teams they hadn’t seen yet.

Rice faced Trinity College School and had a very slow start, therefore losing the game 2-3. Allison Babbitt and Maxi Moran-Bird scored Rice’s goals. In the second game vs Gilmour the game was back and forth, Rice gutted the game out winning 5-4 with goals from Mikalya Butkus, Amanda Conger had 2, and Kaley Campbell also had 2. Next up was Ridley College School. This was a very physical game and again up and down the ice but the bounces just didn’t  go in Rices favor with Rice losing 0-2. In the last game of the weekend the Knights took on the leagues champion, Nichols School. The Knights were ready to battle. With a very intense, up and down the ice game, there was many chances on both sides but the goalies on both teams kept their respective teams in the game. With forty five minutes of the game finished the score remained 0-0, Whitney Padgett had 40 saves for the Knights.

The Knights finished 1-2-1 but battled hard and had 3 great games. They return to action this next weekend against the same teams right here in Vermont!
