Who are the Rice Knights?
The Rice Knights girls’ hockey team members are students at Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington Vermont. The Knights team is a Select Girls’ Prep School Hockey Team that will compete at the highest level of competition combining playing prep school teams, a competitive USA Hockey Tier I schedule and belong to the North American Prep Hockey Association. That is where this program is unique. The Knights will play a competitive schedule that is not limited to game counts or opponents by any individual school league. The Knights will also compete for the opportunity to play in a USA Hockey Tier I National Championships, as well as their league championship. Typically players attending NE prep schools also play on club teams as the prep schedule can be 25 games or less. The Rice Knights schedule combines both NE prep school games, USA H club games and league play resulting in an optimal game count for player development.
